Floods in Oxfordshire
Heavy rainfall over Oxfordshire on Friday 20th July has led to severe flooding in many parts of the county. On Saturday evening the River Evenlode burst it's banks and cut off our village from the neighboroughing village of Long Hanborough. It flooded the two properties next to our church and only a sand-bagging operation prevented the water entering our building.
We were also cut off from our 'sister' church in Combe - the picture below shows the bridge over the Evenlode at the bottom of the hill from Long Hanborough:
