Open Air Service
On Sunday 13th June we led an open-air service on Bladon Village Green. There was traditionally a service on The Green to celebrate the start of Bladon Feast. The service was followed by a fun-fair with a roundabout and lots of other fairground rides. Bladon Feast died out in the 1950's, probably due to the increasing popularity of television and car travel. Bladon Junior Church first resurected the open-air service as part of our 150th Anniversary celebrations in 1993. We also held a service on The Green as part of the 50th Anniversary of VE Day.
