Church Concert - June 2001
The Junior Church performed songs from several shows at a church concert which was held to raise money for the £3,000 organ refurbishment
Wicksteed Park Trip - Summer 2001
Thirty members of the Junior church went on a coach outing to Wicksteed Park near Kettering and enjoyed all the rides and attractions.
Drama Workshop - June 2001
Twenty-five children attended this workshop of improvisation, mime, and dance (including ballet). The afternoon finished with a short presentation to the parents.
Church Sleepover - July 2002
Bladon Methodist Church, 3am. The building is dark and silent. Suddenly there is a ghostly whistling noise. Could it be the Grimmitt Organ Ghost that is known to haunt the church? Not on this occasion - it's one of the 28 children spending the night in the church as part of our church sleepover event. Read more here
Christmas 2004
To celebrate Christmas we held a spectacular candlelit concert as well as our traditional Family Service. We also went carol singing around the village which raised £84 In addition to these events there were plenty of activities planned for Sunday mornings in December - such as cooking and making Christmas decorations. Visit to the Oxford Bus Museum - June 2003
One Sunday morning the Junior Church walked the short distance to the Oxford Bus Museum in Long Hanborough and had a great time climbing on the large range of vintage buses and coaches. See pictures
Drayton Manor Park - May 2004
On Sunday 23rd May over fifty Junior Church children and adults went to Drayton Manor Park in Staffordshire. We had a great time on all the rides, including the Apocalypse (see left). Read more about the trip.
Let's Face the Music and Dance - March 2004

Open-Air Service - June 2004
During June we led an open-air service on Bladon Village Green at 3pm as part of the Bladon Feast weekend. You can read more about the history of Bladon Feast in our history section. See some photographs from the service.
VE and VJ Day Commemoration - Sun 10th July
2005 marks the 60th Anniversary of the end of the second world war. The government, in consultation with veterans organisations, has decided that the principal commemoration should take place
Deddington Walk - May 2005
Some of the Junior Church went to the village of Deddimgton and completed a circular walk to raise money for their early-years unit. See a couple of pictures
on Sunday 10 July – a single day falling between the anniversaries of VE and VJ Day. Bladon Junior Church performed a programme of events to mark the occasion. At 3pm there was an Open-Air Service on Bladon Village Green. Later in the day, at 7pm, followed a Concert of war time songs in Bladon Methodist Church entitled “Songs that Won the War”. The churcwas decked out with union flags for this concert of war time favourites which included a sing-along of songs such as Keep the Home Fires Burning, Pack up your Troubles, They’ll Always be an England and White Cliffs of Dover. During the day there was an exhibition in the Methodist Church to commemorate 40 years since the death of Sir Winston Churchill. We displayed photographs and newspaper articles about the burial in Bladon and showed some archive footage taken on the day. Go to our commemoration page.

Christmas at Blenheim - Dec 2006
We perfomed a half hour programme of songs in The Great Hall at the world famous Blenheim Palace in Woodstock as part of the finale of their Christmas at Blenheim celebrations. More details on their website here. For a full report click here. For other Christmas events click here.

Trip to Thorpe Park - March 2007
In March the Junior Church spent the day at Thorpe Park. Thorpe Park has a wide range of attractions with many family friendly rides for the younger children but also plenty of extreme thrills for our more adventurous members. The weather the awlful - in fact it didn't stop raining all day, but we still managed to enjoy ourselves. Read more here

Deddington Walk - May 2009
We took part in the 2009 Deddington Walk on Sunday 17 May. The older children acted as official route marshals while the young children completed the circular walk. Read all about the walk
Bladon Feast Concert - Sunday 14 June 2009
In June the Junior Church took part in a concert in St Martin’s Church as part of the Bladon Feast celebrations. The music had an Austrian theme so we performed four musical numbers from The Sound of Music, a show we performed back in 2006.
New Year Sleepover - 31 December 2012
Have you every spent a whole night in a church? Well here's your chance at our New Year Sleepover! There'll be lots to do to entertain you and then at idnight we;ll see in the New Year in style. A hot evening meal and breakfast is also included. Booking forms are available from church.
Harvest Supper - September 2012
Over 40 Junior Church members and their family enjoyed a delicious three course Harvest Supper, cooked by professional chef to the stars Steve Ramli-Davis.
80's Disco - November 2012
We boogied the night away with a 1980's themed disco. The music, with accompanying videos on the big screen ranged from Madonna to Michael Jackson.
Film Night - December 2012
Our December film night was the seasonal comedy Natvity! Unlimited accompanied the screening of this hilarous film starring MArtin Freeman.
